Simon has been woodturning from the age of 11 and at the age of 26, was the youngest to be on the Register of Professional Turners.

Simon has had a varied turning career from antique restoration, to professionally turning and producing bagpipes for over 10 years as well as artistic turning, teaching, demonstrating and more recently designing and producing his own range of woodturning tools and accessories.

Simon’s artistic turnings often have metal elements entwined with the beauty of the timber. By using jewellery grade pewter, or hallmarked sterling silver.

Simon has vast experience in demonstrating to wood turning clubs and at seminars around the world and works from his workshop, a stone’s throw away from the beautiful Dedham Vale, in Essex.
